MOVIE NIGHT AT RESURRECTION CHURCH: Paul & Suzanne Buse are pleased to announce the next in their series of movies shown in conjunction with the national Knights of Columbus focus on Building the Domestic Church—movies containing faith-based themes pertinent to today’s culture to be shown on Friday, December 9 at 7:00 p.m. in the Youth Center.
We proudly present for our fourth movie, The Nativity Story – It was the cruelest of times. Under King Herod's torturous reign, families struggled to survive and yet, in the midst of utter turmoil, a young woman's faith is put to the test. Betrothed to much-older Joseph (Oscar Isaac), Mary (Keisha Castle-Hughes) must remain a maiden for one year, but she subsequently receives a visit from the angel Gabriel, who tells her of her destiny. When Joseph and Mary, now far into her pregnancy, journey to Bethlehem for the Roman census, they face a threat from King Herod, whose obsession with an ancient prophecy endangers soon-to-be-born Jesus. (101 minutes; rated PG for some violent content.) The journey of a lifetime; a story for all time!
Light refreshments will be served and time will be allowed for a brief discussion following the film. The cost of the event is FREE.
